Self-explanatory, Louvre and the very short story don't count: my ranking is
1. Billionaire Village. My favorite. Araki has pretty much described why it was good in his manga technique book. The concept of the village and etiquette, the interactions between the three characters, some very good art especially the panel with the gods' faces hidden in the mountain, Heaven's Door not being this story breaker.
2. Confessional. The story had very good and consistent tension and some good art even compared to the later chapters. I do like the protag who's flawed but still we can get behind him, as well as the beggar who's also someone you get the motivations of. Always liked the final twist and the ending.
3. Mutsukabe Hill. Same as Confessional, good tension that consistently rises, especially the "climactic" panel where the girl is forced is shown to gulp down blood, creepy as fuck. However, the second part with the little girl felt like too much and unsatisfactory.
4. The Run. I really liked the backstory for Yoma and this obsession for sport, and the idea that he was indeed the embodiment of a god, as well as the ambiguous ending. However, not a lot was truly remarkable in this chapter except for MUSCLE!
5. Poaching Reef. Seeing Tonio and him being fleshed out a bit was great. The idea of the abalones and the tradition surrounding them is nice, but I wasn't that interested. Being continuously weighted down by abalones wasn't that good of a story.
6. Mochizuki F. Moon Viewing. Nice Final Destination hommage I guess. The rabbit man was a good idea, but I think there were too many characters for me to be any invested in them, except maybe the dad who didn't do much at the end.
7. DNA. Seeing Yukako was nice, especially since I think Araki nailed her personality even after all these years. The idea of Mao was okay I guess? Araki's idea of romance was too alien for me to get into the story, which was a no-stake thriller.
8.Sunshower. The chapter had a great start with this whole crowd of people on the people mysteriously bumping into Rohan. However, although the fat guy was good, the story kind of became distracted by the crowd thing, and I didn't like the payoff.
